Brown School’s parent organization is called PALS, for Parents Actively Lending Support, and our goal is to support Brown School’s mission.

We are not a fundraising organization.

All members of the Brown School community are welcomed to attend every meeting, either in person or via conference call if more convenient. The number to call is provided with the email and Friday Folder announcement of the meeting. Occasionally, after our PALS meeting, we provide informational programs for parents related to education, development and wellness.

Recent PALS-sponsored events include:

  • Fall Harvest Festival
  • Stockade Tour
  • Movie Nights
  • Schenectady Holiday Parade Float
  • Winter Snowcial (often roller skating or bowling)
  • Spring Social
  • Teacher Appreciation Day
  • Earth Awareness Day

Events have changed over the years as new families have introduced us to wonderful new traditions. Your ideas are always appreciated and welcomed.

Because email notices and newsletters get buried and Friday Folders get misplaced, PALS is also a great way to find out if there is anything going on that you might have missed.
