As an independent school dedicated to mindfully educating its students, we are excited to announce an upcoming educational session aimed at helping families prepare their children for a successful transition into school. It will be held on August 5, 2024, at the Niskayuna Branch Library and hosted by Larissa Pierre, our director of admissions at Brown School and early education expert.
This program, aimed at parents and guardians of preschool to early elementary-aged children, will provide practical tips and strategies for fostering a love of learning and ensuring a smooth start to the school journey. Larissa will cover key topics including developing routines, enhancing early literacy and numeracy skills, and supporting social and emotional readiness. Attendees will leave equipped with valuable resources and actionable advice to help their children thrive in a school environment.
Brown School offers a rich curriculum for our students and our classrooms are filled with creative and active learning. Our students learn skills in all areas of cognitive and social-emotional development, across an array of academic areas. We encourage our students to explore, discover and engage in the school’s plentiful, varied learning experience, whether they are pre-schoolers or graduating seniors.
